The first steps to egg freezing: A B C

30-minutes

Yes, it’s that short and sweet.
Here’s what you need to know for your first visit.

A Ultrasound antral follicle count

We’ll conduct a quick ultrasound to assess how many eggs you’re able to make each month. Antral follicles are in each of your ovaries, and play a central role in how many eggs your body produces. Imagine the ovaries as cookies, and antral follicles are chocolate chips. The more chips there are, the sweeter the cookie! The number of follicles each woman has varies, but it’s important for you (and us) to know your count.

B Blood test

Yes, we want your blood. A blood test will tell us what your hormones levels are. These hormones affect the quality and quality of your eggs, including your fertility.

C Consultation

One of our practitioners will sit down with you to discuss your visit and answer any (and all) questions you may have. From your first to last visit with us, we’ve got you covered–and will be there to help even after.

After your first visit with us, you’ll come back for several ultrasounds to monitor your ovaries. Ready for the next step?

Knowledge is power. Still have questions? That’s okay--there’s a lot to know. And we’re here to help you get there.
